How to be successful in personal planning?

What makes you achieve your goals? What is the engine that gets you move toward your goal? Understanding what is driving you is the major step to success.

We all want something. Achieving this “something” makes us happy – family, friends, health, money…

But the ways that lead us to personal planning success are different. We can differentiate at least two of them that are essential for all human’s decisions. The first is moving towards well-being or away from sufferings. Every time you do something it could be either the one or the other.

There are pros and cons for both types of motives.

Moving towards well-being means that you’ve been affected by positive emotions. It’s always easier to do something that you enjoy.

Moving away from sufferings is in the opposite side. We learn from the very beginning that sometimes it is easier to avoid or run away from something than to simply move towards your goal.

It’s very important to solve the problem as it is. Otherwise, it will follow you forever. Yes, it takes guts, but it will lead to lesser sufferings and to more happiness in the future.

Of course, you shouldn’t fight with cobra when it’s possible to simply run away.

But there should be a balance between the two that would lead to future success in personal planning and, eventually, in life.
